If he feels he has trouble due to personal reasons, and external academic pressure or anything of the kind, instead of still being hopeful of releasing a chapter in a cramped schedule, he could place the deadline a long time later, whatever he does, all the readers want from him is to honour his deadlines, irrespective of when it is updated to be.
